Probable impossibilities are to be preferred to improbable possibilities

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
'Tis strange these journals. That it should just appear one day outside my doorstep did concern me greatly in the beginning, but numerous tests have detected no ill intent and finally I do concur that perhaps this is merely a tool to facilitate interaction and thus a gentle reminder from the powers-that-be to say it is time to put an end to my self-imposed exile. Besides, I am weary from my many journeys to discover new treasures for the museum which I have taken upon myself to care for.

Also from my perusal of the contents of those who also write in these devices, I admit my curiousity to be piqued. There are many young ones that have arrived here recently and while my former colleagues have been gracious to greet and befriend, I have not.

Thus, I introduce myself: Rowena Ravenclaw, one of the four founders of the school of Hogwarts, died in the year 1019. Currently curator of the City Museum.

For many months I have been away, but as a result I am pleased to announce there are some new additions to the museum collection, particularly from the Greek and Roman periods. My recent expedition uncovered some exquisite jewellery pieces originally lost after the great fire of Rome in 64 C.E. as well as a number of excellent statues of such notables as Julius Caesar, Mark Anthony and Octavian. This has inspired me to develop an exhibition around these men and events in Rome leading up to the fire. Any who wish to learn more are welcome to visit between the hours of nine and five.
